The Alliance is working jointly with the County of Union to hold interactive community forums in Plainfield and Hillside regarding brownfields redevelopment. The Plainfield forum is scheduled for June 10, 2004 at the Plainfield High School.
The Alliance has recently produced and released its countywide News Directions paper, Spring 2004 edition with participation and commitment from various organizations as our advertisers.
The Alliance is working the County Division of Environmental Health and Emergency Management to utilize E Team software most effectively for the safety of people who live and work in Union County. The Alliance has sent surveys to 63 different unions in this local region in order to compile a resource list of skilled personnel and equipment, which will create a comprehensive E Team database.
The Alliance is sponsoring Union County's 3rd well-attended Annual Public Safety Day at Warinanco Park on June 26, 2004 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Representatives from the Union County Prosecutors office, the educational system, county and municipal police, fire and emergency services are all participating in this event.
